Title 21, Chapter 2
Basic drone regulation requiring compliance with federal rules. Prohibits drone use for hunting.
Restrictions
- No using drones to aid in hunting or fishing
- No flying over wildfires or near firefighting operations
- National forest and wilderness areas may restrict drones
Penalties
Misdemeanor for hunting violations; federal penalties for airspace violations
Local Flying Notes
Idaho's rural landscape provides excellent open flying areas. Boise has a growing FPV community. Check for wildfire TFRs during summer months.
